It has been barely a few months since the Oppo Reno 8 series dropped in India and the Reno 9 series is already announced in China. The Reno 9 series has three models in its pipeline, consisting of a Reno 9, Reno 9 Pro, and Reno 9 Pro+. Oppo has gone upmarket with the Pro variants of the Reno 9 series in India, consisting of a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and 16GB RAM on the base variants.
Oppo is yet to announce when these new Reno 9 series models will be coming to India. However, here are all the three models that could make their way to India.
The Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro share a lot of common features, expect for the chipset they use. The base Reno 9 relies on the Snapdragon 778G chip whereas the Reno 9 Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip. Both the phones feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ 10-bit AMOLED display with curved edges and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
As for the cameras, the Reno 9 features a dual camera setup with a main 64MP sensor and 2MP B&W sensor. The front camera has a 32MP sensor with autofocus.The Reno 9 Pro has a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture lens, and an 8 MP ultra wide-angle camera with 112-degree FoV at the back. The 32MP autofocus selfie camera remains unchanged. The Pro version also has a MariSilicon NPU chip.
The phones rely on a 4500mAh battery and support 67W wired fast charging. They run on ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box.
The Oppo Reno 9 Pro+, on the other hand, relies on a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. It uses the same 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ display that holds the same 32MP selfie camera. The cameras are different here, with a main 50MP camera with OIS, an ultrawide 8MP ultrawide camera with macro cam functionality, and a third 2MP depth camera.
The phone has a slightly larger 4700mAh battery
