The Oppo Reno 7 Pro is among one of our favourite camera smartphones in the premium segment but Oppo is already working on its successor. It will be called the Reno 8 Pro and the early leaks have emerged, making it a much different phone than the Oppo Reno 8. The Reno 8 series is said Mohave three models this time, with the Reno 8 Pro topping the range and the standard Reno 8 being the safest choice. There is also a Reno 8 SE tipped to bring in the new MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset. For now though, let us talk about the Reno 8 Pro.
Coming from popular tipster Digital chat Station, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro is coming to the markets later this year as the flagship model in the Oppo Reno 8 range. It is said that Reno 8 Pro will bring in the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max chipset, which we saw earlier on the OnePlus 10R. The Dimensity 8100 offers the same kind of performance as the Snapdragon 888, and we already saw it preform well on the Realme GT Neo 3. However, the Max moniker could make Oppo optimise it further for AI functions, similar to the OnePlus 10R.

While the Reno 8 Pro is seeing a processor upgrade from the Dimensity 1200 on the Reno 7 Pro 5G, some other areas are likely to remain unchanged. The display is said to have a 6.7-inch OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This display will have a punch hole cutout for the front camera, which will have a 32MP sensor up for duty.
