A cryptic social media post teases the upcoming release date for Only Murders in the Building season 2. Released on Hulu last year, Only Murders in the Building became an instant hit as it followed three true crime obsessed strangers who find themselves wrapped up in their very own murder-mystery. The series saw Steve Martin star as Charles-Haden Savage, Martin Short as Oliver Putnam and Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora, three of the residents at the Arconia, an exclusive Upper West Side apartment building that plays host to the grisly murder of a man named Tim Kono. The trio create their very own true crime podcast, which follows their pursuits in solving the mysterious case.
While the end of season 1 offered the shocking reveal that Charles' new girlfriend, Jan was responsible for Kono's murder, the final episode left audiences on a major cliffhanger which saw Charles, Oliver and Mabel all driven away in police cars after they were found standing over the lifeless body of the Arconia's building manager, Bunny. Many were therefore delighted when it was announced that Only Murders in the Building season 2 had been given the go-ahead, with production officially kicking off in December of last year. Details surrounding season 2 have, so far, been kept largely under wraps, with production currently still taking place in New York City.
