Saitama's endless supply of strength and power has been the basis for most of One-Punch Man's humor and drama. With his fated nemesis now wielding the exact same level of strength, how can Saitama possibly win?
The strength behind Saitama's attacks in One-Punch Man has never been explained, only hinted at from time to time. One thing that has been consistent since the very beginning is that Saitama is unskilled and untrained in the ways of martial arts, so his attacks are exceedingly simple, and in many cases work in spite of this due to enemies underestimating his power. Bang wanted to formally train him at his dojo for this very reason, but since Saitama is only «a hero for fun,» he's always turned down the offers as being too much work. Now, Garou intends to offer a look at what someone with Saitama's power and Bang's training can really do.

In chapter 165 (English numbering 163), Garou used his new Cosmic Horror form to copy Saitama's strength, blocking the hero's series of Consecutive Normal Punches with his own. Since Saitama never uses the full extent of his power, however, the copy wasn't complete. In chapter 166, however, Garou began to realize that Saitama's power could easily secure his victory, and brutally killed Genos in an attempt to goad Saitama. Needless to say, the display of cruelty had the intended effect, and Saitama busts out his Killer Move: Serious Punch--only for Garou to copy that as well. As both fighters close in with their fatal blows, the S class hero Blast worries that the force from these two attacks connecting could destroy the entire planet Earth.
