The iPhone 14 is one of the more peculiar launches expected in years! On the surface, we are getting four models as usual but there are changes inside. Other than the iPhone 14 Max, the biggest change that we are expecting with the iPhone 14 series in general is choice of the chipset. Leaks have so far suggested that Apple may be willing house the older A15 Bionic chip from the iPhone 13 once again this year for the iPhone 14 models. Another leak related to the iPhone 14 reaffirms this today.

Out of these, only two models will get the new A16 Bionic chip, which are the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, on the other hand, will come with last year’s A15 Bionic chipset. Previous rumours suggested that all models will use 5nm chips but the A16 Bionic on the Pro variants will offer slightly better efficiency and performance.
