Fans have added several playable characters to 2017’s Star Wars Battlefront II through creative mods, and now the dreaded Grand Inquisitor from Obi-Wan Kenobi has been added to that ever-growing list. Star Wars fans were first introduced to this nameless Pau'an warrior in the first season of the Star Wars Rebels animated series, where he served as the leader of the Inquisitorius — an elite squad of powerful Dark Side-trained assassins tasked with hunting down any Jedi who survived Order 66 during the reign of the Galactic Empire. The Grand Inquisitor in particular would go on to appear in Marvel’s Star Wars comic books and the first two episodes of the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and he has even been featured as a minor character in games like Disney Infinity and Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Meanwhile, a few of his Inquisitor subordinates have appeared more prominently in 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, where they were tasked with hunting down surviving Jedi Cal Kestis as he explored the ruins of the old Jedi Order in hopes of finding a way to restore it. Naturally, many fans are expecting to see even more Inquisitors in the recently announced Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, with one popular theory being that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed protagonist Starkiller could be introduced into Disney’s official Star Wars canon as a member of their ranks. In the meantime, one talented modder has taken the liberty of introducing the sinister commander of this dark organization into Star Wars Battlefront II, not too long after fans got to witness him in live-action for the very first time.
