TeaserPlay has created a new Unreal Engine 5 concept video that celebrates five generations of the PlayStation brand, showing a gamer play the original PlayStation as a kid and then finally playing the PS5 with their own child. YouTube channel TeaserPlay has made a name for itself with its impressive concept videos that utilize the power of Epic's Unreal Engine 5, oftentimes showing what hypothetical video games could look like if built using the same tools.
Most of TeaserPlay's videos focus on specific video games, like the channel's recent Max Payne 2 remake video. However, the channel's latest Unreal Engine 5 concept video is a more original work, instead showing a gamer growing up with five generations of PlayStation consoles from the PS1 all the way to the PS5.
Weird PS4 Bug Says Friends Were Online in 1970
At the start of the video, the gamer is a kid playing Crash Bandicoot on the PS1. Time jumps and the kid is a teenager now, playing Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on their PlayStation 2 console. Time jumps some more, and the gamer in the video is now a young adult playing Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception on their PS3. The next time jump moves the story ahead to 2018 with the 2018 God of War game being played on a PlayStation 4 console.
The final clip in the video shows the gamer now as a fully grown adult with a child of their own, sitting in their living room and playing Spider-Man: Miles Morales on the PS5 together. It then ends with a brief message thanking PlayStation for the good memories. It's a nice, nostalgic video that will likely be well-received by PlayStation gamers who have similarly grown up playing games on Sony's consoles over the years.
