YouTube channel TeaserPlay has created yet another Unreal Engine 5 concept video, with this one all about Max Payne 2. Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne was originally released in 2003 with Remedy Entertainment serving as the developer and Rockstar Games publishing the title. Like its predecessor, Max Payne 2 enjoyed a mostly positive critical reception at the time of its release, and so it's not surprising that many fans want to see the game get a new lease on life on modern consoles.
Max Payne fans are in luck in that regard. The first two Max Payne games are getting remakes from Remedy and Rockstar, with plans to release them together on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. It's unclear exactly how far these Max Payne remakes will go, but it has been confirmed that the game will be built using Remedy's Northlight engine, which was used to make Control and is being utilized for the highly-anticipated Alan Wake 2 as well.

While fans wait for more official information on the Max Payne remakes, they can check out TeaserPlay's concept video for Max Payne 2, though keep in mind that it was made using Unreal Engine 5 and not the Northlight Engine. The video shows protagonist Max Payne walking through dark city streets and shooting enemies, though it doesn't showcase the franchise's famous bullet time effects, unfortunately.
Those feeling nostalgic for Max Payne should note that it's technically possible to play the games on modern platforms. Besides playing the PC versions, all three games in the Max Payne trilogy are readily available to play on Xbox.
