The first trailer for Jordan Peele’s new project Nope has finally been released, and while it gave a proper look at the characters and a taste of what they will go through, it left many questions and made way for different theories on what’s really happening. Jordan Peele has successfully transitioned from comedy to horror and from actor to director, and his work in the horror genre has been so well-received that there’s now a lot of anticipation around his projects.
Jordan Peele’s career began as a comedian, most notably in the sketch series Key & Peele alongside Keegan-Michael Key, but in 2017, he made the jump to the horror genre and behind the camera with his directorial debut Get Out. The movie was a critical and commercial success and gave Peele the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, so it’s not surprising that his subsequent projects have been welcomed with open arms and with a lot of anticipation. His second movie, Us, arrived in 2019 also to a lot of praise from critics and viewers, and that same year he produced and hosted the third revival of the TV series The Twilight Zone, and now his next project in line is Nope.

Like with his previous movies, details about Nope are being kept under wraps, but it counts on the talents of Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun, and it’s scheduled for a July 22, 2022 release. The first trailer for Nope has now been released, and while it doesn’t give much away, it gives some hints of what the story will be about, what the characters will come across, and makes way for plenty of theories about everything.
