In this guide, we are going to go over everything you need to know about recycling. This will include how to build different types of recyclers, as well as what to do with the materials that they produce. Your farm will have one basic recycler on it when you start a new game, allowing you to start recycling right away.
As mentioned above, you will have one recycler on your farm at the start of the game. To use this machine, you will need to have trash in your inventory. Interacting with the recycler will display all the materials that can be placed inside on the right side of the screen. Drag these items to the left slot, and then wait for them to process.
Once processed, you can collect the recycled material; the total amount of material that you have will be displayed to the right of your toolbar.
Additional basic recyclers can be crafted with 12 recycled materials. By visiting Mark's Shop, you can unlock the blueprints for two upgraded recyclers as well. In the image above, you can see the player icon at Mark's Shop. You can get here by taking the larger gate on your farm, which can be found on the upper right-hand side of the map.
Below, you can check out how to unlock these recyclers.
These two recyclers have a higher capacity for trash, which means that they will produce more recycled material.
The recycler is a passive machine, meaning you do not have to be near for it to work.
