Developed by Hello Games, No Man's Sky brings players into space to explore different planets and collect items. The procedurally generated worlds make the replayability of this game strong since no two worlds will look the same. The newest update offered even more gameplay as Hello Games moved to a more seasonal approach, giving players different objectives and things to research on missions that only last a set amount of time. There is even a new option to own a space whale in No Man's Sky and now the game has a more «roguelike» approach where players lose items if they die.

During the PlayStation State of Play, it was announced that No Man's Sky is in development for PlayStation VR2. This will make the game even more immersive than before, putting players directly into the spacesuit and cockpit of their spaceships.
