Nintendo has just announced a new Direct for tomorrow at 7 am PT. According to earlier reports, it will announce a brand-new 2D Mario game during the showcase.
"Tune in on June 21 at 7:00 a.m. PT for a #NintendoDirect livestream featuring roughly 40 minutes of information focused mainly on Nintendo Switch titles launching this year, including new details on Pikmin 4," Nintendo of America tweeted.

Pikmin 4 launches next month on July 21, but aside from that, we don't know much about what Nintendo has planned for the rest of the year. We know there are ports like Mortal Kombat 1 launching (which I doubt will make an appearance given its love of all things gore), while Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals and the new Professor Layton are set to release sometime in 2023. Games without dates include Metroid Prime 4 and the ever-elusive Hollow Knight: Silksong. But let's face it, we've been putting Silksong on these lists for years.
Pikmin 4 news has been trickling out since it was announced during last year's Direct. And only earlier this month, Nintendo dove deeper into what we can expect when it finally arrives in July--namely, a character creator. It's a series first, letting you bring to life your own Rescue Corps Captain. As seen in the latest trailer, you can pick your skin tone, hair, hair colour, spacesuit, and name, with ten pre-configured faces that all have different eyes, noses, and cheek dots. We also found out that you can change your appearance and name at any time, so don't worry about perfecting it right away.
