The Wilds season 2 landed on Amazon Prime Video last week, leaving fans as breathless and winded as its protagonists trying to keep up with all the twists and turns. Not to mention keeping up with the cast, which now includes a whole new crew of boys to follow after the first season centered on a plane crashing and stranding several girls whose plane crashed in the wilderness.
Much like in The Wilds season 1, the stranded boys introduced this season have beenpurposely sent to the island by social scientist Gretchen Klein (Rachel Griffiths, Saving Mr. Banks) as part of her Machiavellian experiment. And the series continues to simultaneously explore the backstories of its characters along with both groups' attempts at survival in the wilderness, as well as the dawning of reality while they are questioned after their supposed rescue.

Nicholas Coombe and Miles Gutierrez-Riley, who play Josh and Ivan respectively, spoke to Screen Rant about how they prepared to join the second season of The Wilds and what their impression is of the dynamic between their characters and the rest of the Twilight of Adam.
Screen Rant: Did you watch the first season to prepare for your role in the second? And what did you learn from it?
Nicholas Coombe: Oh, yeah. I watched the first season by the time the audition came through, so I was pretty excited about it when I saw it.
And to prep for the character, I just did the classic character research on Josh and his family backstory. But I also was ready to get thrown into the environment and see what happened.
