Nicolas Cage and Pedro Pascal cry while watching Paddington 2 in a clip from The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. The upcoming meta-comedy film written and directed by Tom Gormican (That Awkward Moment) sees Cage play a fictionalized version of himself, including an alter-ego known as Nicky Cage, a figment of his imagination reminiscent of his younger self from David Lynch's 1990 Palme d'Or winning film, Wild at Heart. Massive Talent also stars Sharon Horgan, Tiffany Haddish, Ike Barinholtz, Alessandra Mastronardi, Jacob Scipio, Neil Patrick Harris, and Demi Moore.
With a screenplay co-written by Kevin Etten, Massive Talent finds a cash-strapped Cage begrudgingly accepting a $1 million offer to appear at a birthday party for a billionaire super-fan, Javi Gutierrez (played by Pascal). Things take a wild turn when Javi turns out to be a notorious arms dealer and Cage is forced to sink back into some his most iconic characters to save the day. Massive Talent has been steadily sharing teases in the lead-up to its wide release on April 22 and now audiences have been treated to a brand new look at the film.

Lionsgate has unveiled a new clip from The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent which sees Cage and Pascal enjoying some glasses of wine as the actor asks his super-fan what his "third-favorite movie of all-time" is, to which Pascal's character answers with conviction, Paddington 2, much to Cage's surprise. He soon changes his tune when the duo sit down to watch the sentimental movie together, which turns on the waterworks for Cage. Check out the clip below:
