The upcoming meta-comedy film written and directed by Tom Gormican (That Awkward Moment) sees Cage play a fictionalized version of himself, including an alter-ego known as Nicky Cage, a figment of his imagination reminiscent of his younger self from David Lynch's 1990 Palme d'Or winning film, Wild at Heart.
