Thymesia was first revealed last year with a stylish trailer that immediately brought to mind games like Bloodborne and Dark Souls. It features a similar setup as other Soulslike games, with players exploring a bleak world full of dangerous hazards as they engage in intense, challenging combat. However, one key difference separating Thymesia from other Soulslike games is that it will be next-gen only, coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, but leaving the older consoles behind entirely.

Those who can't wait for Thymesia's August 9 release date to roll around should note that they currently have the opportunity to play the game ahead of time. From now until May 9, PC gamers on Steam can check out a limited-time Thymesia demo. The Thymesia demo has controller support as well, so even those who plan on playing it on consoles come August 9 can feel free to check it out and still get a pretty good idea of how it will play on their platform of choice.
