New job listings are fueling the longstanding rumor that Bungie is currently working on a new standalone Destiny game, and it may be teaming up with one of China's best developers to do it. The sci-fi gaming juggernaut Bungie was bought by Playstation for $3.6 billion recently. Bungie is the same company that helped the original Xbox become a success with the release of the first Halo game back in 2001. Destiny fans were treated to what many consider one of the best campaigns the series had seen when its latest expansion, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, was released earlier this year. The latest expansion is Destiny 2's sixth. Each DLC has added massive amounts of new content to the online multiplayer shooter. Not much is known about the final two Destiny 2 expansions other than their titles, with Lightfall launching in 2023 and possibly the entire series climax planned for 2024's Destiny 2: The Final Shape. However, rumors seem to point to Bungie working on a new standalone Destiny game, and it might not be what fans are expecting.
