20th Century Games has announced that a new single-player title based on the Aliens franchise is in the works from Survios, the developer behind VR experience The Walking Dead: Onslaught. The Aliens series is experiencing a resurgence in the gaming medium after a brief drought, with squad-based shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite releasing in 2021 and Aliens: Dark Descent being announced with a trailer during Summer Game Fest 2022.

One such example was Gearbox's much maligned Aliens: Colonial Marines, which released with numerous bugs in 2013.
