Lamorne Morris, the actor who played Winston on New Girl, revealed that he was very allergic to his character's favorite feline in a recent interview. New Girl was a popular sitcom that ran on FOX from 2011 to 2018. Winston was a fan favorite, partially due to his relationship with his cat Ferguson.
New Girl focused on Jessica Day (Zooey Deschanel), a young woman living with her three male roommates, Schmidt (Max Greenfield), Nick (Jake Johnson), and Winston. Winston joined the New Girl ensemble cast in episode two of the series, replacing Coach (played by Damon Wayans Jr.) to move in with a girlfriend. Winston's quirky and unique interests, such as his bird shirts and musical theatre, helped the character capture the hearts of viewers. He got his cat Ferguson in the third season after finding out the cat's previous owner, Winston's then-girlfriend Daisy, was cheating on him and deciding she did not deserve to own the cat anymore.
