Cyberpunk 2077 upcoming expansion, Phantom Liberty, just got another trailer at Gamescom's Opening Night Live showcase. The Gamescom appearance also confirmed a version 2.0 update, which will add a bunch of combat overhauls for all players on current-gen consoles, without having to purchase the DLC.
This trailer gives us another look at Phantom Liberty's gameplay, which will be available to demo at Gamescom over the week. It will be the same preview that's currently on tour around the world, which has been met with a positive reception so far.

Phantom Liberty will also be playable at Gamescom itself, although only in person. It's not clear if there will be a digital release of the demo beforehand, as CD Projekt Red might want to keep it exclusive to events to prevent any leaks.
So far, fans who have been able to play the game have shared some details themselves. This includes the fact that it adds a respec option so you can mix up your character build without having to restart the game. There are also new locations in Night City, giving you something to do in the base game once you're done with the story expansion. This is all on top of previous details shared by the devs, revealing that huge parts of the game have been overhauled. This ranges from rebuilding the perk system to finally adding vehicle combat. We'll have to wait and see if this leaves Cyberpunk 2077 looking more like the game we were promised at launch back in 2020.
