Just recently, the mystery around the Lucky Coin and the Ring of Misfortune has been solved — but the search for Diablo 4's actual Cow Level continues. With Patch 2.0 being available on the PTR, our database has unveiled more evidence on finally accessing the level that every developer claims doesn't exist — or has it?
Ring of Misfortune Unique Found How To Unlock the Forlorn Hovel
Let's start with some promising new items in our database.
First, we have found the Rusted Bardiche:
In Diablo 3, transmuting the Bovine Bardiche, a Legendary Polearm and supposedly enchanted by the Cow King himself, in Kanai's Cube would grant players access to Diablo 3's Cow Level, which is called "Not The Cow Level." Could the Rusted Bardiche do the same in Diablo 4?
Next, there are four new quest items with particularly familiar names:
The Rusted Old Bell, the Crooked Staff, and the Jabbering Gemstone obviously reference Wirt's Bell, the Staff of Herding, and the Gibbering Gemstone — all required to open a portal to Whimsyshire, better known as the Pony Level, the very first implementation of a secret level of Diablo 3. Together with the Unusual Key, these three relics could just do exactly what they were doing in Diablo 3!
With Diablo 4's Patch 2.0 PTR being available from September 4-11, we will hopefully find out more about these promising items, including the Luckier Coin, which could play another role in the search for the Cow Level.
As always, we want to shout Diablo 4's secret-finding community and their Discord server, «D4 — Not Finding a Cow Level». Join their server to stay up to date on every new Cow Level finding and cowspiracy theory!
