Developer Mica Team and publisher Sunborn Network Technology have confirmed the official launch of Neural Cloud on iOS and Android. Set in the Girls’ Frontline universe, Neural Cloud advances the franchise’s storyline with a plot covering the ethics of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It asks the question: what happens if you turn a machine off?
The game accentuates this with gritty, cyberpunk cityscapes featuring original music from acclaimed synth-pop musician Owl City.
With the launch of Neural Cloud, players can dive into a brand new entry in the Girls’ Frontline universe. They’ll experience a unique strategy RPG featuring an intuitively designed deck-builder, hyper-charged combat sequences, and fast-paced gameplay.
Players will assume the role of the Professor, who has awoken in the year 2060 after three years of dormancy. They find themselves trapped in the virtual cloud network surrounded by other AI consciousnesses scattered about following a tragic “accident.” They must save these “Exiles,” escape the virtual purgatory and uncover the truth behind their demise and the mysterious Project Neural Cloud.
Combat requires an understanding of Dolls, androids from the physical realm whose creators programmed them for war, labor, entertainment, etc. Utilize their powers and abilities to overcome Sanctifiers, Anti-Virus AIs created to keep the Dolls contained in the network. First, you must assemble the best Dolls team through the game’s gacha mechanic. Then, head into the titled battlefield to engage enemies on the frontline.
