The trailer for Netflix’s Tall Girl 2 has officially been released and the movie is slated to premiere next month on the streaming platform. Directed by Emily Ting, the coming of age dramedy sequel stars Ava Michelle as the main lead Jodi, alongside Sabrina Carpenter as Harper, Angela Kinsey as Helaine, and Steve Zahn as Richie. The Netflix film will concurrently release during the Valentine’s Day weekend, along with the reality show Love is Blind and the miniseries Inventing Anna.
Now, Netflix has shared the official trailer to the teen romantic-comedy sequel of Tall Girl. With the indie-pop song, “I’ve Got Electric Dreams” playing in the background, the trailer teases Jodi’s first look into her newfound popularity as she accepts the lead role in her school’s musical. As Jodi explores the new year in school and gains the confidence to stand tall, it also reveals her troubles in maintaining her relationship with her boyfriend, Jack Dunkleman (Griffin Gluck). As her relationship with Jack Dunkleman is tested, the trailer shows her forming a new bond with her musical co-star, Tommy Torres (Jan Luis Castellanos). Watch the full trailer below:

Although Tall Girl met a low reception from its critics, the film managed to garner over 41 million views on the streaming service within the first month of its release. From the looks of the trailer, it appears that the sequel may continue the overarching themes of the first film, where Jodi learns to overcome her old insecurities and pressures in school. Tall Girl 2 premieres on Friday, February 11, on Netflix.
