Netflix is going to drop another SpongeBob game soon. It’s called SpongeBob Bubble Pop, and Netflix has opened its pre-registration on Android. It might sound a bit similar to SpongeBob Bubble Party which dropped back in 2015 on iOS, and by the looks of it, the two games might actually be quite similar.
But anyway, last time I checked, Bubble Party hadn’t received any update for a long period. Plus, the new one, SpongeBob Bubble Pop by Netflix and Nickelodeon is being cooked by Tic Toc Games (developer of Rift of the NecroDancer), so I guess it won’t disappoint us.
After dropping SpongeBob: Get Cooking in September 2022, Netflix is giving us another SpongeBob game already. The name of the game makes it pretty obvious that you burst bubbles along with SquarePants and his friends.
So, the plot goes like this: one day, the Flying Dutchman decides that Bikini Bottom needs a makeover. And by makeover, he just blows bubbles everywhere, turning the place into one giant, bubbly mess.
That’s when SpongeBob, with his super-absorbent powers, gets ready to pop every last bubble. Sounds like a simple, funny and entertaining bubble-popping puzzle game. Bubble Pop has all the iconic SpongeBob characters like Mr. Krabs, Patrick and Squidward in the bubble-popping action.
In the game, you get to travel around Bikini Bottom. You can hit up places like the Krusty Krab and Sandy’s Tree Dome, the usual SpongeBob hangouts. Unfortunately, Netflix has yet to drop a trailer or gameplay sneak peek of SpongeBob Bubble Pop for us.
The game also lets you make over SpongeBob’s regular square pants. You can customise the outfits with tons of options like the Krusty Krab uniform, Classic suspenders and more. Try your hand at the Skill Crane to win even more costumes.
September 17th is apparently the date when the game’s launching. If you’re interested in the game, you can pre-register it right now on the Google Play Store and play it once it’s live.
