My Friend Peppa Pig is now receiving free PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S upgrades that help make the game pop on next-gen hardware.
Originally released on October 22nd, 2021, My Friend Peppa Pig launched as a cute sandbox game aimed at a young audience. On January 21st, 2022, the game launches on next-gen consoles with a free upgrade for existing PS4 and Xbox One owners that contains notable improvements compared to its last-gen counterparts.

The upgrades for each of the next-gen consoles come with a quality and performance mode. On the PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, the performance mode allows the game to run at 60FPS in 1080p. On the quality setting, the Xbox Series X and PS5 can run My Friend Peppa Pig in native 4K, except for the Xbox Series S, because the console doesn't have the graphical power to play the game at that resolution. The PS5 receives support for the DualSense controller and activity card, while the Xbox Series X and S gain quick resume support. In addition, each next-gen console will see an increase in loading speed. Unfortunately, none of the next-gen consoles can run My Friend Peppa Pig at 60FPS in native 4K.
My Friend Peppa Pig is an open-world that lets players create their own character and explore across the world of the show the game is based on. Reviews for My Friend Peppa Pig are favorable with the game sitting at an 8.7 on Metacritic and a "very positive" rating on Steam. Not only do the players, on average, find the game enjoyable, but now next-gen players can take full advantage of the new hardware.
