After initially announcing the addition of Stripe at the start of season 1, the latest update to MultiVersus finally adds the villain from Gremlins while also kicking off a new Halloween inspired event. As a live service style game, new updates shouldn't be too surprising for fans, but the one that Player First Games added today for MultiVersus is a bit more unique than most. After teasing a new roster addition last week,MultiVersus has finally added in the Gremlins character known as Stripe.
Fans can unlock the newly added assassin style character for 2,000 Gold, a character ticket, or 700 Gleamium. Better yet, Stripe also has a variant skin called COmbat Stripe which can be unlocked for 800 Gleamium. It's clear that Player First was waiting for the Halloween season to unleash this villain, as Stripe has access to his iconic chainsaw, a flurry of swipes that ends with a bite, as well as a gun that's perfect for close range hits or targeting enemies at longer range.
MultiVersus Concurrent Player Count Has Dropped Dramatically
While fans can now pit Gizmo against Stripe, this latest MultiVersus update is substantial. The other major piece to this is the newly added Halloween Event which runs from October 12 to November 15. Playing matches against humans or bots now awards candy, which serves as a new currency to be used inside an in-game shop that has a bunch of seasonal cosmetic items. Players can earn varying amounts based on a win, loss, or by using specific Halloween style skins like Combat Gizmo and Combat Stripe.
The Halloween rewards have varying price ranges including a Pumpkin Patch Profile Icon for 150 candy, Jack-O-Lantern Emote Sticker for 500 Candy, Mummy Reindog Epic Variant for 3,000 candy, and a Calico Cake
