MultiVersus has been taking the gaming world by storm as of late. Combining a roster of interesting and unique characters from all the IPs owned by Warner Bros. the platform fighter managed to reach the top 10 most played games on Steam within its first day of open beta. With MultiVersus proving to be so popular, fans all over the internet have been asking when developer Player First Games will be releasing more content for the game as they want more characters, a proper battle pass to work towards rewards, and more.
Recently, MultiVersus' game director showed off what would be coming in the game's first season, including the pricing of the battle pass and how many tiers it would have. All looked promising because, for around $10, players would get access to 50 tiers that grant cosmetics, XP boosts, Toasts, gold, and more. At the time, it was stated that the MultiVersus battle pass would launch next Tuesday, August 9. However, since then plans have changed, and the Season 1 launch has been delayed.
MultiVersus Image Shows All the Leaked Characters So Far
This news comes from MultiVersus' official Twitter account, where the developers posted a series of three tweets explaining the situation. First, there's a big thank you to all the players currently enjoying the platform fighter. Then, underneath that tweet, the account informs fans that the Season 1 battle pass and the release of Rick and Morty's Morty as a playable character is being pushed back to a «later date.» MultiVersus acknowledges this news will be disappointing to some but assures the community that it will deliver content that «delights players.»
