MultiVersus has grown a lot since the game's closed alpha launched earlier in the year. Considering that not much was even known about the action platformer when MultiVersus gameplay was first unveiled at the beginning of this year, to consider how the game has grown over the course of just six months is impressive. But, still in its open beta phase, MultiVersus has a lot of work to do with new features, characters, and more.
Now, MultiVersus' Game Director Tony Huynh is discussing the next big changes that will be coming to the game. Huynh is often active on social media, responding to fan questions and showing off the latest additions coming to MultiVersus, including things like its first proper battle pass. The latest update for MultiVersus is set for next week, and while some fans were hoping that the Store and Guild features would be coming in that patch, it seems they are still a short ways out.

Currently, when looking at MultiVersus' main menu, two options are grayed out. These options would take a player to the Store page for the game, where presumably a player would be able to purchase cosmetics for their characters in MultiVersus with either Gleamium or in-game gold. The Guilds function is a little less self-explanatory, but in essence it would allow MultiVersus players to build their own groups, which many are predicting will result in greater in-game rewards. These options haven't been scrapped, it's important to note, but Huynh has stated over on Twitter that the team at Player First Games is focusing on core systems, stability, and bug fixes.
