Following MCU’s Spider-Man tradition of featuring villains never-before-seen on the big screen, Mr. Negative is the best antagonist option for Spider-Man 4. Despite probably in the early days of development, Sony and Marvel will certainly continue their successful partnership in the making of Spider-Man films. Between Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home, the MCU was adamant about not reusing villains who had previously appeared in other Spider-Man films. Therefore, Vulture and Mysterio finally gained a chance of making their live-action debuts. Although No Way Home did bring back old villains, there was an in-universe reason for it as the movie was about the Multiverse.
