How do you expose a gamer to all the lore you’ve written for your made-up world? Long, tedious exposition? Nah, do it with notes and newspaper clippings and books! At least, that’s Monark’s philosophy on the subject, anyway.

There are two varieties of collectible Material in Monark. The first relates to the Academy, one half of the game’s world and the place your characters all go to school. The second relates to the Otherworld, a dangerous place filled with Legion, Daemons, and maddening mist. There are over 100 pieces of Material to find in the game, and a completionist will want every single one.
The majority of these materials provide information about Shin Mikado Academy and its history, but some are vital to story puzzles.

These passwords are acquired during Part Two of the game and they are used to unlock lockboxes when you return to the locations used in this Part. They can only be used when taking on a different route than when they are acquired. If you want to open the lockers on your first playthrough of a route, you can use our guide!

These Memos consist of numbers and symbols, all of them corresponding to a particular type of battlefield. Of note are the Hunting Grounds, which have enemies that drop Vessles, and the Fertile Grounds, which provide a substantial amount of Spirit.
