Modern Warfare 2 has seemingly been confirmed for Steam.
Following a tweet from the Call of Duty account showing off the new reveal teaser, the official Steam account quote retweeted this and added the eyes emoji, implying that a Steam version of the game will be part of this reveal.
Artwork from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 recently appeared on Steam, which started rumours that the series may be returning to Valve‘s platform for the first time in seven years.

Modern Warfare 2’s worldwide reveal will be next week, according to a debut trailer featuring Task Force 141 which was revealed earlier today.
Titled “Ultimate Team” shows soldiers, including cover star Ghost, in a dark truck riding toward a battlefield, before the trailer ends announcing the full gameplay reveal, which will take place on June 8.

Activision recently announced that the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 release date is October 28, 2022.
“Task Force 141 makes its massive return with a global squad of iconic veterans,” the trailer’s accompanying blurb reads.
“These Operators include Captain John Price, Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley, John ‘Soap’ MacTavish, Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick and introducing Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas.” Activision said at the time of the game’s reveal.
As first reported by VGC in September 2021, Modern Warfare 2’s campaign will be centred around the drug war against Columbian cartels.
This has been seemingly corroborated by a new Tweet from Infinite Ward.
