Hulu releases a new trailer for its series about Mike Tyson's life and career titledMike. Tyson is a former boxer who competed professionally from 1985 to 2005 and held his title as the world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990. Tyson is a controversial figure both inside and outside the ring for several events, including biting off part of Evander Holyfield's ear during a boxing match.
Now the trailer for the eight-part Hulu limited series poses the audience a question of how well they actually know the man. From the trailer, the series will explore Tyson's childhood and his adulthood both inside and outside the ring. Moonlight star Trevante Rhodes will be portraying Tyson, with a supporting cast of Russell Hornsby (The Hate U Give) and Harvey Keitel (Reservoir Dogs) among others. I, Tonya writing and directing team Steven Rogers and Craig Gillespie are reuniting for the series with showrunner Karin Gist (Our Kind of People).

The series aims to take a look at both the ups and downs of Tyson's career and life, in order for the audience to get a better understanding of him, rather than to paint him strictly as a hero or a villain. With Rogers, Gillespie, and veteran showrunner and executive producer Gist on board, the series has an opportunity for success. Viewers will have to judge for themselves whether Mike will be added to the list of docudramas worth watching when it premieres on August 25 on Hulu.
