Microsoft has officially closed its $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
In completing the game industry’s (and Microsoft’s) biggest ever deal, the Xbox maker has taken ownership of major console and PC franchises including Call of Duty, Warcraft and Diablo.
It has also established a major presence in mobile gaming with the addition of Candy Crush maker King.
Other developers joining Xbox Game Studios include Infinity Ward, Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games, Treyarch, Toys for Bob, Beenox and High Moon Studios.
