Metal Gear Solid Mod Turns Kermit the Frog Into a Brutal Murderer

A new mod for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain takes Kermit the Frog andputs him in the role of a trained killer. Debuting in 2015, Metal Gear Solid V is a third-person stealth-based game that stars the leader of a mercenary band of independent soldiers, Punished «Venom» Snake. As Snake, players sneak around an open world full of enemies and bases taking out soldiers with deadly precision and force. Snake carries out several types of missions like recon, gathering supplies, rescuing animals from war zones, and recruiting soldiers to train at his military base.

Kermit the Frog is the beloved leader and face of The Muppets, but he's also been a popular target for memes for years now. This goes as far back as 2014, with the movie debut of The Muppets: Most Wanted inspiring the «Evil Kermit» meme, and Kermit starring in an ad for Lipton Tea to further promote the film. Eight years later, people are still creating and sharing the Kermit memes over Twitter, Discord, Tumblr, and more. Now, it appears the face of The Muppets is making his way into one of the most gruesome game franchises out there thanks to a fan mod.

Reddit user Ratlysh posted a video of a mod they created that turns Venom Snake into a large Kermit the Frog. In the video, we see Kermit running around while carrying guns and tackling Snake's fellow soldiers around the Mother Base. Functioning exactly as Venom Snake normally would in-game, Kermit dive tackles and knocks a soldier unconscious onto the ground using Snake's CQC technique.
