The Masked Singer fan-favorite Banana Split was revealed to be the married couple of superstar singer and actress Katharine McPhee and legendary musician, composer and record producer David Foster, who sang Katharine's praises after their elimination. David and Katharine first met in 2006 when he mentored her during American Idol season 5.
They were impressed by each other's talents and became friends. They didn't start dating until 2017 and got engaged in 2018.
