In 2005’s smash hit series, Marvel Zombies, artist Sean Phillips accidentally drew their designs in a way that didn’t exactly jive with what fans had seen before, and it was all because of a reference photo mix-up! Marvel sending images of the zombies’ first appearance to the new creative team is one thing, but when they’re so pixelated that the artist can’t make heads or tails of what he’s looking at, that’s something else entirely.
