Warning! This article contains minor spoilers for Ms. Marvel episode 2.
Ms. Marvel episode 2 featured more MCU easter eggs, going as far as to reference Kingo from Eternals, and in doing so, made his betrayal in that film all the more tragic. Ms. Marvel is the latest Disney+ MCU show and tells the story of Kamala Khan, a young Muslim girl who discovers she has cosmic powers. It is through Kamala's culture, though, that the connection to Eternals is revealed.
Kingo was one of the titular Eternals who became a Bollywood movie star after the Eternals parted ways. During his time as a famous actor, Kingo became very attached to the people of Earth. Ms. Marvel episode 2 briefly explored this connection, making Kingo's actions at the end of Eternals even more noteworthy.

The main plot of Eternals surrounded the titular group trying to stop Arishem from creating a Celestial on Earth, thus eliminating the Earth's population in the process. However, some of the group, including Ikaris and Kingo, disagreed with the Eternals' actions and supported Arishem. Kingo left at this point, refusing to hurt any of his family over his beliefs. That being said, Kingo still turned his back on the people of Earth and was willing to let them all be killed to birth a Celestial. Much of Kumail Nanjiani's arc as Kingo in Eternals was about him loving the people of Earth and forming an attachment to them through his work. Therefore, Ms. Marvel revealing that the people of Earth also loved Kingo in return makes his decision all the more tragic.
