Following a recent update, a Marvel's Avengers fan has noticed what could be a good sign for the game's traversal mechanics. This potential gameplay adjustment would be part of a larger, long-running initiative to bolster Marvel's Avengers via new cosmetics, side content, and general fixes.
By Square Enix's own admission, Marvel's Avengers drastically underperformed. For many gamers, the writing was on the wall before the game was even released, as early playtests and first impressions reported that, while not a complete disaster, Marvel's Avengers had a number of issues that needed to be addressed. It seems that this did not happen, however, as Avengers launched with a multitude of bugs and performance issues, on top of some controversial design choices. The game's live-service elements, predictably, did not land well with the gaming community either, with many players ultimately feeling contempt for the game. It has seen improvements since launch, though, even if it seems like some updates have hurt Marvel's Avengers more than they have helped.

One of these updates might have gotten the ball rolling on some traversal enhancements. Twitter user All-Father Media recently shared a gameplay clip of Thor flying, claiming that by pressing the jump button mid-flight, the character will exit flight with a graceful somersault. All-Father Media did note that this could potentially be a bug, drawing particular attention to the fact that developer Crystal Dynamics has not announced any changes to traversal.
