Mario Strikers: Battle League is Soccer Meets Mario Kart
It was revealed during the February 2022 Nintendo Direct that Mario Strikers: Battle League is coming to Nintendo Switch on June 10, 2022. Mario Strikers: Battle League is an upcoming combat/soccer game, where teams of 5v5 characters from the Super Mario series compete to be the best and score more goals than the opposing team.
The Mario Strikers series is composed of competitive sports titles, with the most recent entry being Mario Strikers Charged on the Nintendo Wii. Like the Mario Kart series, the player is able to use items to harm the enemy team, such as throwing green shells and dropping bananas on the field. The characters even have their own special moves that can be used to help them score goals.

The February 2022 Nintendo Direct announced Mario Strikers: Battle League is coming to the Switch. The player can equip their characters with special gear that can improve their stats and change their appearance. There are also special «Hyper Strike» shots that can be done by grabbing a special orange ball when it hits the field and performing a charged shot, which will result in multiple points being scored. The player can take part in local matches and online matches, with the ability to form online clubs. that can compete against other players' clubs. The trailer for the game was shown as part of the Nintendo Direct, which can be seen on the official Nintendo YouTube channel.
