Mario Strikers: Battle League is the latest action-packed title from Next Level Games and harkens back to a franchise absent from Nintendo consoles since the Nintendo Wii. In fact, the upcoming soccer game is the second Nintendo Switch project from Next Level Games. The first Nintendo Switch game by the Vancouver-based studio was Luigi’s Mansion 3, which released on October 31, 2019. Next Level Games would be acquired entirely by Nintendo on March 1, 2022.

The Nintendo Switch eShop reveals the file size of Mario Strikers: Battle League. The new game weighs in at roughly 1.8 GB. In comparison, previous Mario sports titles such as Mario Tennis Aces and Mario Golf: Super Rush launched with file sizes of 2 GB and 4.2 GB respectively. Considering the Nintendo Switch’s internal storage size of 32 GB, Mario Strikers: Battle League takes up a meager amount of storage space.
The file size of Mario Strikers: Battle League will grow as future updates add new content and features to the game. New updates could also include the addition of new venues and modes. Datamines suggest 10 new Mario Strikers: Battle League DLC characters will be added for free over the course of its post-launch support.
