The Madden NFL 22 Pro Bowl event is being held on February 5, and it’s believed that it will officially break the record for the largest video game display. Madden 22 was released in August of 2021, fresh off the heels of one of the worst-performing Madden titles to ever release, Madden NFL 21. Generally speaking, the latest installment managed to score higher than its predecessor in the eyes of many critics, but for many fans, Electronic Arts has continually fallen short when trying to gamify the United States’ favorite sport.
EA is currently hard at work trying to make yet another leap in Madden NFL 23, but the bar continues to rise. After Madden 22 showed some improvements, another step up is expected for this coming year’s addition. Furthermore, Madden 23 will be the first Madden title released since the death of the game’s namesake, Hall of Fame NFL coach John Madden. Madden passed away on December 28, 2021, at the age of 85. After a legendary career, he went on to become a legendary NFL commentator and a legendary video game persona. For many people, John Madden embodies American football as a sport, and the pressure is no doubt on for EA Sports to honor his life with the next Madden title.

Unfortunately, John Madden isn’t around to witness the outcome of the 2021 NFL season, this year’s Pro Bowl, or the heavily anticipated Super Bowl between the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams. However, the Madden NFL 22 Pro Bowl on February 5 will try to be as big and exciting as John Madden was as a person. The event will be held in Las Vegas one day before the actual Pro Bowl.
