Now that the finale of Loki season one has aired and the mystery of who was behind the TVA has finally been uncovered, it’s time to look ahead to the future and Loki season 2. Thanks to Loki's post-credits scene, a second Loki season was confirmed as soon as the first finished, but will Marvel bring Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief back from another romp through time? On the face of it, Loki was the most likely of all Disney+ MCU shows to get a second season. The time travel conceit allowed for endless possibilities, even with restrictive new laws introduced in the wake of Avengers: Endgame’s Time Heist. And the theoretical removal from the sacred timeline would mean that Hiddleston’s anti-hero could operate in his own narrative without the need to interact with established ongoing stories. It should always have been a perfect set-up, and now that He Who Remains has revealed himself and the multiverse has officially kicked into gear, the possibilities are seemingly infinite.
