A huge new list of cast members has been announced for Netflix's live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender project, including some big names and important characters. The new additions include George Takei, Prey's Amber Midthunder, Community's Danny Pudi, and many more.

The list includes characters from across The Last Airbender's expansive world, spanning the Water Tribe, Fire Nation, and Earth Kingdom, as well as two of the spirits from the mysterious and dangerous Spirit World. The characters also span multiple seasons of the original animated series, though it's not clear if all of them will be appearing in the Netflix show's first season.
George Takei, who will be providing the voice for the dangerous spirit Koh, had a cameo voice role in the animated series, playing the warden of a Fire Nation prison rig. Also returning from the original show is James Sie, who will be reprising his iconic role as the Cabbage Merchant.
The newly announced actors join a main cast consisting of Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, and Dallas Liu as Zuko. The series' big bad, Fire Lord Ozai, will be played by Daniel Dae Kim, while a number of other secondary roles were announced last year.
