Mike Ducker, a programmer on all of the original Fable games released by Lionhead, has been reunited with a commemorative plaque gifted to him after the first Fable's release after being informed that it was being listed on eBay for £995.
Over on Twitter, Ducker, who now works with Glowmade, shared a photo of the commemorative plaque, which shows the cover art and disk for the first Fable framed alongside a message thanking him for his work on the game. Ducker explained that the plaque has been presumed stolen since 2010 until recently being put up on eBay.

As pointed out by PC Gamer, we can actually use the Wayback Machine to see the now-removed listing on eBay, where the seller was asking for £995 for the plaque. Ducker explained that he got in contact with the seller and ended up paying the same price that they had for it, which was around 10 percent of what they'd asked for on eBay.
Ducker explained the situation in a thread, saying, "The plaque I was given for making Fable has been missing presumed stolen since 2010. It ended up in a recycling centre auction in Northampton around 2014, then sat in a collection until it went on sale on eBay recently, where a game dev I'd never met saw it and told me... Never thought I'd see it again and so unlikely that I ever did".
Although it's certainly good news that Ducker has been reunited with something that is rightfully his, he did have to give a little bit to get the plaque back, revealing that he paid more than they asked for and threw in a Fable 1 standee that he had as part of his collection. Still, considering the price that the listing was originally at, it's just good news to see the plaque back
