Ahead of the launch of Splatoon 3 on Sept. 9, Nintendo is set to offer a limited edition version of the OLED Switch console as well as a matching Pro Controller.
The Splatoon 3-themed Switch will be sold separately from the game and a couple of weeks earlier on Aug. 26. It comes "adorned with splashy, squid-tastic images straight out of Splatsville,"
The console dock is covered in graffiti, while the Joy-Con controllers use a blue/purple (left Joy-Con) and yellow/green (right Joy-Con) gradient design on the front. The Switch itself also has graffiti imagery on the rear casing.
Available alongside the game on Sept. 9 will be a Splatoon 3 Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. It mirrors the blue and yellow design of the Joy-Cons, while embedding Splatoon imagery on the casing below the buttons and thumbsticks.
And if that's not enough Splatoon 3-themed products for you, Nintendo is also going to release a Nintendo Switch Splatoon 3 Edition Carrying Case.
Purchasing the whole set may prove difficult due to demand, and it certainly won't be cheap. The OLED Switch will be available to pre-order from a number of retailers for $359.99. The Pro Controller will cost $74.99, the carrying case is $24.99, and the game will cost the usual $59.99(Opens in a new window) we've all come to expect from Nintendo first-party Switch titles. Total spend: $519.96.
