Like A Dragon: Ishin's First Playable Demo Is Coming To Twitchcon Next Month
Yakuza fans have been well and truly spoiled this month after Ryu Ga Gotoku announced three new titles in the series launching over the next two years. The first of those three games will be Like A Dragon: Ishin, a remake of the 2014 title that will also launch outside of Japan for the very first time.
The continued growth of the Yakuza series, coupled with the success of Ghost Of Tsushima, has inspired RGG to give the remake a worldwide launch. Its very first demo will be playable at Twitchcon next month, as was confirmed by RGG on Twitter this week.

“We'll be at #TwitchCon San Diego from Oct 7th - 9th with the first US playable demo of the newly announced samurai action adventure, Like a Dragon: Ishin,” RGG tweeted. The studio has also asked content creators who will be at the event to let it be known in the comments, clearly keen to get gameplay footage out there in the coming weeks.
That means if you're lucky enough to be headed to San Diego for Twitchcon, you're only a little more than a week away from having the chance to be among the very first to play the Ishin remake. It is currently slated to launch in February 2023 and will be followed by Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name later in the year.
Last but certainly not least will be Like A Dragon 8, launching in 2024. As you may have noticed by this point due to the names of the next three games in the Yakuza series, it won't actually be called Yakuza outside of Japan moving forward. The series has now been dubbed Like A Dragon. As for Ishin, while RGG has confirmed it won't have an English dub, that doesn't necessarily mean that will be the standard for all future Like A Dragon games.
