Much like with Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the release date for NEOWIZ’s Lies of P is on Amazon Japan. It’s out on September 19th, indicating a delay from its current August window. As Gematsu notes on Twitter, “Japanese retailers generally only list products when the release date is fixed.” With a new trailer debuting at the Summer Game Fest Showcase, the announcement will likely happen there.
Based on the famous story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is set in a dark Belle Époque world, specifically Krat. As you awaken in the city, machines causing chaos and slaying people, you’re tasked with finding Mr Geppetto. His role in this massacre remains to be seen, but some quests facilitate lying, potentially changing the ending.
Lies of P is coming to PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The main story aims to be 30 hours long, but that can increase depending on the side quests. Check out our interview with the developer here for more details. You can also watch some extensive gameplay here.
