Lady Gaga has confirmed previous reports that she will be appearing in Joker: Folie A Deux, posting a short but sweet video to her official Twitter account of her silhouette dancing with another silhouette of Joaquin Phoenix's Joker.
A previous report suggested that Joker: Folie A Deux is going to be a musical, and hinted at Lady Gaga's possible inclusion as Harley Quinn. While Gaga's video doesn't really confirm anything other than her involvement in the film, the song Cheek to Cheek accompanying the video definitely suggests that those previous reports are accurate. For those unaware, the song Cheek to Cheek is best known for its inclusion in the musical Swing Time and was actually covered by Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett back in 2014.

There's also a small detail in the video that gives away Lady Gaga's role as Harley Quinn as well. While not explicitly stated, the small heart on the cheek of Gaga's silhouette can't really be a reference to anyone else. It's currently unknown whether Gaga is writing any music for the film as she did with A Star Is Born, but you have to admit that Warner Bros. would be foolish not to utilize all of her talents while she's on board.
If you're wondering what happens to Margot Robbie's portrayal of Harley Quinn, it's likely that Joker: Folie A Deux won't be connected to any other DC films. Just because Gaga is Harley in this film doesn't mean that Robbie has been ousted. For example, Joaquin Phoenix plays the Joker in the movie, but the Joker is played by Barry Keoghan in a deleted scene in The Batman.
