Kyedae, a popular Twitch streamer, has recently opened up about how playing the popular video game Valorant helped her cope with cancer jokes. The Twitch streamer, who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, has been subjected to insensitive comments and jokes about her illness, but she found solace in the online gaming community and the support she received while playing Valorant.
Kyedae, whose real name is Kayla, initially found it difficult to discuss her condition in public, but she eventually decided to share her story with her Twitch audience. She was, however, confronted with some unpleasant comments and jokes about her illness, making her feel alienated and frustrated. On March 10th, she eventually chose to address her detractors by saying comments about her cancer don't bother her anymore because she plays Valorant for «8 hours a day.» She found that playing the game not only provided a distraction from her illness but also helped her connect with others who shared her passion for gaming.

Kyedae discovered that playing Valorant allowed her to escape from the stress and anxiety of her illness and the insensitive comments she had received. “I have seen so many hate comments of people joking about my cancer, literally none of that could phase me. I play this game (Valorant) 8 hours a day,” said Kyedae. “Nothing will phase me, you can literally joke about my death and I don’t give a s**t.” The game also provided a sense of accomplishment and empowerment, as she was able to focus on improving her skills and ranking up in the game. She is also a part of the Esports team 100 Thieves because of her prowess in-game and devotion to the Valorant
