The Ice Cream course is unlocked one you reach Gourmet Rank 17 in Kirby's Dream Buffet. Since it's more advanced that the starting courses, you can expect to see challenges that aren't present on any other track. Ice Cream includes fruit-topped scoops that Kirby can just barely jump over and lots of opportunities to take risks for extra strawberries.

The main feature of Ice Cream, though, are the slippery conditions. Racers will slide all over the icy terrain if they aren't careful. Master navigating Kirby's frozen wonderland with this guide, and you'll skate past the finish line with ease!
Use the opening stretch of Ice Cream to get used to the course's slippery terrain. The ice cream bars with a smooth texture are icy, and will cause Kirby to slip and slide. Turning will be difficult, and every other bar is icy so you'll be contending with slippery controls the entire race.
Kirby can change directions mid-jump. Use this when you're on or approaching an icy section to improve your overall handling.

Most of the Ice Cream track is split into two paths that you can freely choose at each junction; one that's wide and safe, and another that's narrow and risky but has more strawberries to collect. By the time you've unlocked Ice Cream, you probably have a pretty good idea of when it's safe to go for the big rewards.
Where Ice Cream differs is on the large icy sections. These have narrow, square bridges with tempting strawberries waiting to be eaten. You'll need to approach these bridges carefully, though, as it's very easy to slide right off the track.
